David Britt ‘Singin’ For A Reason’ Benefit
Sep 22 @ 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm

BENEFIT FOR THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY

Born October 1, 1975, in Charlotte, North Carolina, David Britt is a Country Music Recording Artist and Singer Songwriter. Although he began playing violin at the early age of three, David did not start writing music until he was thirty-five. Up until that point David was a top national junior tennis player, an ACC Tennis Champion at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and briefly, a Professional tennis player on the Men’s Pro Tennis Circuit. After hanging up his racquet, David started in the world of Commercial Real Estate. Several years of stellar success had been under his belt when the market crashed in 2008. Although Charlotte, North Carolina was somewhat insulated, the crash still took a toll on many brokers and developers. David, like many in his field, all of sudden had a fair amount of time on his hands. That’s when he began to write music. It was a life-long dream that found its way back into David’s life. After teaching himself to play the guitar, David booked his first studio session with Producer Jason Scavone, and put together his first album, self-titled, DAVID BRITT, which was released in 2012. Since that time David has released 2 other albums, COUNTRY FLOW, and IT”S ON NOW, along with several other singles. David’s 4th album LOVE SONGS & LULLABIES will be released February 14, 2018. David has written over 2000 songs. Over the years David has made national news due to his philanthropic work in and out of the music world, and does many charitable concerts a year. He is also written and published three books. In October of 2017 David traveled to New York City to perform at Gretchen Carlson’s book launch for her Best Selling book, ‘Be Fierce.’ where he performed his hit tribute song to Gretchen, ‘Be Fierce.’ All proceeds from the song benefit Gretchen’s ‘Gift Of Courage Fund,’ which helps underserved women. David’s mentor, and one of his closest friends, is Joe Bonsall of the Country Music Hall of Fame group, The Oak Ridge Boys. Although David is full time in music, he is still heavily involved in commercial real estate with his company, David Britt Real Estate, LLC, where he is a broker and developer. David has two beautiful children. They reside in Charlotte, NC.

Amanda Anne Platt & The Honeycutters
Nov 9 @ 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Amanda Anne Platt & The Honeycutters are on tour with their latest album, a self-titled disc released June 9, 2017 on Organic Records. Lyrically driven, the songs of Amanda Anne Platt & The Honeycutters blend the band’s old-school country roots attitude with their shared influences of rock and folk. Amanda says of the album, “I think it’s just about life and all that that entails. Including but not limited to death, strangers, birthdays, money, leaving, arriving, seasons, corruption, and love.”

“This is a band that does everything right,” says Goldmine’s Mike Greenblatt. “Platt deserves all that might come to her over this, her fifth (and best) album. Backed by pedal steel, electric guitar, keyboards, bass, drums, percussion, and vocal harmony, it’s Platt’s show as she writes, sings and co-produces. Complete with lyrics of introspection with the kind of words you can chew on long after the album ends, it also works on a lighter level by dint of the fact that it just sounds so damn good. Go as deep as you want. It’s all good, as they say.”

Based in Asheville, North Carolina, Amanda is a storyteller by nature with an incredible band backing her. Performing along with Amanda Anne Platt, The Honeycutters are Matt Smith on pedal steel and guitar, Rick Cooper on bass, Josh Milligan on drums and harmony vocals, and Evan Martin on keys and guitar.

There is an empathetic and charming wit ingrained in Amanda’s songwriting. She has a knack for accessing a deep well of emotion and applying it to her story-telling, whether she is writing from her own experiences or immersing herself into the melody of emotions in another person’s life.

“She’s soothing (even in the hurtin’ songs) and sobering (except for the drinkin’ songs) and nuanced in a way that I think tops even those rather famous ladies of the moment named Margo and Kacey… I’d be hard pressed to find a finer string of recordings from any band working in the classic country/mountain tradition in these last five years,” writes Music City Roots’ Craig Havighurst.

Muscadine Bloodline at Coyote Joe’s
Nov 10 @ 8:00 pm – 11:30 pm

Unapologetically Alabama.  There’s a new force making major waves in country music. Natives of Mobile Alabama, Gary Stanton and Charlie Muncaster came together to form Muscadine Bloodline in early 2016.  With three single releases under their belt and a schedule full of shows spanning from coast to coast, they’ve hit the ground running from day 1. Nashville took notice the first time these two stepped on the stage and it’s no surprise the rest of the music world is quickly catching on. Charlie’s [contemporary] vocals complimented by Gary’s harmonies and masterful guitar licks, MB is a powerfully refreshing mix of talent, passion and unfiltered authenticity.  Infamously undaunted by the big stage, their sound intertwines the brash irreverence of early southern rockers with the seductive quality of 90s country love songs. Captivating hooks heard in songs like “Porch Swing Angel” and the aggressively anthemic “Shut Your Mouth” stand as a testament to MB’s wide ranging music-making capability. Every song and every show is a moving experience but at the same time, unmistakably Muscadine Bloodline.

Southside Watt
Nov 17 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

‘Roots, Rock, Blues, Rap, and Country influences merged together to form a toe tapping and head bobbing show you have to see!  When brothers and friends starting combining their decades of musical performance and passion with Charlotte’s booming social scene, they discovered a recipe for music mash-ups that fans had never heard before. They took traditional bluegrass instruments, added beat dropping drums, a screaming hot ’52 telecaster, and hypnotizing lyrics and harmonies, and found their fans dancing, drinking, and grooving along like no other band in Charlotte!

Their life-long beloved friend, Sabrina Watt, booked the band for their first paying gig at a Cystic Fibrosis charity event. Without an official name, she dubbed them ‘The Accidentals’.  As years went by, ‘The Accidentals’ formed a monthly happy hour every second Saturday at Sugar Creek Brewing Company on Southside Drive. Every second Saturday from 2:00 – 5:00 loyal fans came out to get transported from the mundane to the madness!

As ‘The Accidentals’ got tighter and the grooves got deeper, the boys headed to FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama to record some original tunes.  There the history, the magic, and the famous water from the Tennessee River created a sound they are proud to call their own.  During the production process, it was discovered that another ‘The Accidentals’ band existed and the boys were forced to change their name.  They looked to the 2 things that brought them to that point (Sabrina Watt and Southside Drive) and Southside Watt was born.

Sabrina’s life ended far too soon, and she is deeply missed. Southside Watt will always remember her impact on this world, and a portion of the proceeds from our shows are donated to Cystic Fibrosis research in her honor.

So come out and see ‘The Greatest Band that Never Practices’, and be a part of what will truly be a unique, one of a kind show, that is not found anywhere else!
