Just yesterday we shared the news that Canadian rock band Tokyo Police Club were coming back with a new album later this year. The new LP is titled TPC and set to drop October 5. Alongside the initial announcement, the band shared a ripping new single “Hercules,” and today they’ve shared yet another one.
“DLTFWYH” acts as the second track of a double A-side single with “Hercules,” and it’s sound is very much in a similar vein. Essentially, it’s another excellent single that showcase the band’s recent record sessions which were heavy with the band just jamming in a room.
Speaking about “DLTFWYH,” guitarist Josh Hook said:
“‘DLTFWYH’ stands out to me because it was a venture into new and unfamiliar territory for us. We chose to really challenge those years of built up preconceptions of who and what we are; so what you’re really hearing is four-plus minutes of why the fuck not?”
Give a listen to the new single right below here.
Further details about TPC have still not yet been shared, but hey…any day now.
