“All At Once” is the first single Heartracer worked on with a producer – the track was produced by Andrew Lappin who has worked with Passion Pit, M83, and St. Lucia. The band flew to Hollywood to record five songs in the space of two and a half weeks, eating nothing but In-and-Out Burger and working out of the famous Sunset Sound Studios (home to Led Zeppelin, Kings of Leon, and The Rolling Stones). Not only did the band record in a studio graced by such huge names, but also played basketball on Prince’s court where he used to play against Fleetwood Mac.
Heartracer is a pop act formed by brothers Chris (vocals, keyboards) and Chip Cosby (guitar) that combines influences from retro synths, anthemic pop, and indie dance. Chris was diagnosed with tachycardia, a disorder that causes the heart to beat faster at random, which became the inspiration behind the name Heartracer. Chris began the band on his own in his home studio in Richmond, VA, while his brother Chip was pursuing his PhD in San Francisco before moving back to Richmond to join the band. Now the two brothers are fully committed to pursuing a career in music – they recorded their newest material in the famous Sunset Sound Studios and have performed sold-out shows with Walk The Moon, Future Islands, Third Eye Blind, Banks, Priory, Joywave, and Pvris
Heartracer’s debut album “In Flight” was released in 2012 and has since been followed by two critically acclaimed EPs, “Summer Gold” (2014), and “Eat Your Heart Out” (2016). Heartracer just completed work on their newest material produced by Andrew Lappin (Passion Pit, M83, St. Lucia) and mastered by Chris Gehringer (Twenty One Pilots, The Chainsmokers, Lady Gaga, Rihanna).
