We are now just five days away from hearing Courtney Barnett‘s sophomore album Tell Me How You Really Feel. The album, announced a couple of months back, will be following up Barnett’s excellent, self-assured debut from 2015. Already, we’ve heard a couple of songs from the upcoming project, and today we get yet another one.
“Sunday Roast” is a more ballad-like song from Barnett, but still contains all of the clever songwriting and nice guitar work that makes her who she is. The video also steps things back a bit from the previous singles and presents itself with a very bare setup. It’s a throwback to old how-to-play-guitar videos, complete with odd scrolling windows of close-ups. The track closes things out on the LP, and although we don’t have it in full just yet it becomes apparent why this works as a note to leave on. To hear just how neatly it fits in within the context of the entire album we’ll have to wait till Friday. Right now, though, give a look at the video below.
Tell Me How You Really Feel is out this Friday. Pre-order it now.
