Car Seat Headrest share “My Boy”

Car Seat Headrest are gearing up to release their new re-worked and re-imagined version of Twin Fantasy next Friday. The album was originally released back in 2011 when Car Seat Headrest was a very lo-fi solo project from frontman Will Toledo. Now with the powers of a fully-formed band, they’ve set out to re-record it and make it like how Toledo originally envisioned it.

Previously, the band have shared two singles from the upcoming LP, and now they’ve shared a third. “My Boy” is the opening track from Twin Fantasy and sees the band scaling things back to a quick, tone-setting track. The original version is much sparser and harder to digest, especially with the loud climax. Here, though, it’s an absolute joy to hear. Everything is clearer while still retaining the less-than-shiny production of the band, and the climax with a full band rules. Give it a listen right down below.

The new version of Twin Fantasy is out February 16. Pre-order it via Matador Records now.
