Since last year, Omaha-based record label Saddle Creek has been running a 7″ single series titled Document. The series highlights great artists that aren’t on the label, with each 7″ record containing two unreleased tracks. The most recent addition to the Document series is none other than the great Palehound.
Palehound is the recent-ish project from lead singer/guitarist Ellen Kempner. She’s been releasing music under the Palehound name since 2013, but it was last year’s excellent A Place I’ll Always Go that saw her profile rise.
The two new tracks from Palehound are called “YMCA Pool” and “Sea Of Blood.” Back when Saddle Creek announced the 7″, they shared the b-side “Sea Of Blood.” Now that the record is out in the world the a-side “YMCA Pool” can be streamed too.
