Just a few days ago, Jack White shared two new songs from his upcoming third studio album Boarding House Reach. No other real specific information was given, but now it’s all here.
Boarding House Reach will be arriving March 23 via Third Man Records/Columbia Records. The new LP features 13 new tracks, which first took shape with White recording alone in an apartment. The album later took shape when he brought in a host excellent musicians. Musicians playing on this record include: Louis Cato, Charlotte Kemp Muhl, NeonPhoenix, DJ Harrison, Anthony “Brew” Brewster. Neal Evans, Quincy McCrary, Bobby Allende. Justin Porée, Esther Rose and Ann & Regina McCrary of Nashville’s The McCrary Sisters, Daru Jones, and Carla Azar. Also there’s a spoken word piece read by C.W. Stoneking.
The new album will also be given the limited deluxe treatment through Third Man’s Vault subscription series. The Vault edition will be the only limited color variant of the album. The LP will be on 180-gram blue and black swirl colored vinyl with alternate cover art that is printed on holographic foil paper, and a Vault-only 12″ x 24″ insert with lyrics. Additionally, the packages contains: a two-song demo 7″ featuring “Connected By Love” and “Why Walk a Dog?”, three exclusive photographs, and a Third Man Records challenge coin (which doubles as a 45 adapter in addition to giving customers 10% off at the two Third Man storefronts).
Signups to get the limited Vault edition of Boarding House Reach end on January 31. Head over here to ensure you get a copy. Pre-orders for the standard edition of the new LP will be going up soon.
