Laura Marling has had an impressive career in music, tackling each new album as a challenge to refine what makes her music so great. She stared off early at 18 years old with a debut album that was mostly stuck in the “twee, indie folk” genre, but very quickly she proved how mature of a songwriter she is. Album after album, she seemed to hone in her style even more, culminating with the release of this year’s Semper Femina.
Her sixth album has seen several single releases, and now Marling has shared another one. The fourth track on the LP, “Don’t Pass Me By” is just as good as anything on the LP, with its intricate instrumentation and Marling’s always impressive vocals. The track has now received the lyric video treatment. Check it out below.
In addition to the new video, Marling has released a deluxe version of Semper Femina which contains a bonus disc of live performances of all the album tracks. Pick up a copy here.
