Palehound share new song “Sea of Blood”

Earlier this year Palehound released their second full length album A Place I’ll Always Go through Polyvinyl Records. It’s a concise 10 track LP filled with great indie guitar rock. Now, the band are set to release a 7″ of two new brand new songs.

The 7″ comes courtesy of the Saddle Creek Records 7″ Document Series. As per the label, the series is will feature “an exclusive record featuring unreleased music from artists outside of the label’s roster, along with a specially curated zine created by the artist.” The new 7″ from Palehound will feature the songs “YMCA Pool” and “Sea of Blood,” the latter of which is available to listen to right now.

For the two new tracks,  Ellen Kempner (lead singer, guitarist of Palehound) had this to say:

“I’ve had these songs laying around forever and could never really find a place for them on a record. After we toured with Bully, Alicia Bognanno offered to record some stuff for me at her house in Nashville, which seemed like a great opportunity. We spent two days hiding from the heat in her house recording… and also at Dave and Buster’s. I love Alicia she is truly the best.”

The new 7″ isn’t out until January 26, but you can listen to “Sea Of Blood” below.

Pre-order the 7″ via Saddle Creek right here.
