Listen to Waxahatchee and Kevin Morby cover The Velvet Underground

Both Waxahatchee (Katie Crutchfield) and Kevin Morby released two very great albums this year. Waxahatchee’s Out In The Storm saw Crutchfield getting personal and honing in on what made her past work so great and elevating it a new level while Kevin Morby’s City Music saw Morby crafting some of his most well-constructed and instantly enjoyable music centered around the simple themes of cities and loneliness. Both artists rose above and beyond what they had done before and put out essential albums, and now they’ve teamed up to release a collaborative cover song.

Crutchfield and Morby just dropped a quiet, lo-fi recording of a cover of The Velvet Underground’s “After Hours.” It’s simply short and sweet. Stream it over on Katie Crutchfield’s blog here.
