Sarah Lapointe was born in Maryland. At age two, she began her dance training in Baltimore, Maryland at Mid-Atlantic Center for the Performing Arts. At age fifteen, Sarah transferred to The Rock School for Dance Education in Philadelphia, PA to study as a Professional Division student.
Sarah has been featured in many classical and contemporary roles with a variety of choreographers and répétiteurs. She has earned numerous top honors and awards for her ballet technique and artistry. In 2015, At age eighteen, Sarah joined, under Artistic Director Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux and 2014 Kennedy Center honoree Patricia McBride.
Additionally, her professional experience includes guest performances with The Washington Ballet, in the April 2015 history breaking performances of Swan Lake featuring Misty Copeland and Brooklyn Mack. Although Sarah currently focuses on ballet, she has diverse experiences in tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, hip-hop, choreography, and modeling.

I’ve been a resident of Charlotte for 1 year. I’m originally from Maryland.

What got you into this career? and what keeps you wanting to do it?
Being a performing artist, I enjoy all genres of music. And as long as my body allows me, I will keep on dancing and entertaining audience with my art form.
What are some of your other hobbies besides ballet?
Coloring, making sushi, and spending time with family and friends.
